Apart from being the birthplace of great heroes and having a rich heritage,there is more about this land that makes it extraordinary.India is a land of extremes where strikingly contrasting things coexist .It is a country where when one is flooded and wrecked by the fury of water,at the other end rain is a word unheard of, the earth is not patched with not even a trickle of water .It is a country which seems to have a myriad of people below poverty line but still manages to figures in the Fortune 500 list of wealthiest men.We Indians boast of having some states with 100% literacy when some people cannot even spell their names.
India is a place with strange practices - where else would one find people worshiping everyone from Godmen to cine stars? And where else would pooja's be performed for the victory of men in blue . India is always in news. It is either the whooping profits of Reliance, Aishwariya Rai signing a movie with Karan Johar or the Indo-Pak talks that hog the limelight. The nation is changing at a fast pace the mush-rooming of Mc Donald's in all major cities, the system of e-governance and the lifestyle of youth are a proof of this .
Gone are the days when wearing a western outfit was unthinkable. Mumbai is now the hub of fashion with Indian designers creating waves in the world of fashion and Indian models making it big in their fields . A few years back in these things would have been inconceivable and beyond one's wildest dreams.Cricket (the defacto national game) ,Bollywood movies (that strike a chord with audience around the globe)'and politics (sometimes more interesting than a Bollywood Blockbuster) are trademarks of India that makes it so different from rest of the world .
Be it political,social or economic fields India makes an impact .with the diversity and distinct customs this nation stands out and there's one word that describes India- INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
